NeuroLogic was initially created with schools in mind. There is no more important job than educating young people, and the long school day creates ample opportunity to positively impact their lives. There are also few jobs as challenging as teaching. Our NeuroLogic offerings for schools are created to not only help you to positively impact students’ lives but also to help to alleviate some of the personal stress that comes from working with students.
Our NeuroLogic for Schools offerings include
4-Hour Interactive Intensive
This intensive is your staff’s initial introduction to our trauma-informed approach to working with students. This session will provide a basic overview of the brain and neural-development, an understanding of trauma and its impact on student’s brain, and then explore many practical solutions to improve neural wiring and bring out your students’ best potential. This live session will be a mixture of lecture, video testimony, small group discussion, and an opportunity to participate in some of the recommended solutions. These sessions can be expanded for groups desiring to have guided discussions on various practical implementation in the classroom
1-Hour Pre-recorded video sessions (8 total)
These sessions provide an opportunity to review and more deeply explore some of the ideas presented in the 4-Hour Interactive Intensive. Additionally, these sessions are designed to provide staff with an opportunity to discuss ways they can practically implement these ideas into their areas of work. The Videos each have between 25-35 minutes of content, and then 25-35 minutes of structured discussion built in.
1-Hour Video Consultations
These video consultations are participant driven opportunities to raise any questions or concerns that your program is having while implementing new practices. The consultations will include up to 20 members of your staff and 1 NeuroLogic consultant. Since these sessions are participant driven, they will last as long as the participants have more things they would like to discuss with a maximum time of one hour. If you do not have the technology to participate in the video consultations, you will be able to call in and participate on your phone.
In-Person Consultations
These consultations are participant driven opportunities to raise any questions or concerns that your program is having while implementing new practices. The consultations will include up to 20 members of your staff and 1 NeuroLogic consultant. Since these sessions are participant driven, they will last as long as the participants have more things they would like to discuss with a maximum time of one hour. These in-person consultations provide the opportunity to have a more personalized atmosphere with your coach, as well as providing the ability for the coach to see your space and offer specific ideas that would make the space for aesthetically friendly to your students’ brains.
Observations
Observations are an opportunity for a NeuroLogic Consultant to come in and observe either teachers or students to provide specific feedback for best meeting the needs of students. Observation sessions last 3 hours, and can include up to 6 classrooms. Included with the observations will be an observation report which includes what was observed and what recommendations the consultant would make based on what they saw. Additionally, the school can choose a 1 hour to debrief with the consultant immediately after the 3-hour observation, or through a video conference at a later time.
4-Hour Pre-recorded Intensive
It can be difficult to gather all your staff at one time, and inevitably someone is always sick or missing for one reason or another. With this in mind, we created a pre-recorded, 4-hour version of our intensive training. You can either purchase this as an add on for the few staff that cannot attend the live intensive or in lieu of the live intensive.
