Summer School
This Summer give your student the break they need!
Summer is a great time to get back on track and realize new skills—skills that can help students return to school in the fall confident and ready to take on new challenges! A summer that includes a structured program will not only enable your student to fulfill academic requirements but also equip and prepare them for success.
Academically
- Remediate as many as five (5) subjects
- Remediate failures from previous and/or current school years
- Remediate failed courses without having to retake the entire course
- Earn up to two (2) original credits
Vocationally
- Learn skills necessary to be successful in a job setting
- Earn work-study credit
- Complete community service assignments
Behaviorally and Emotionally
- Develop skills necessary to be successful in public school, college, and the workplace
- Receive counseling to explore issues related to academic and behavioral success
- Have daily accountability, encouragement, and assistance with goal setting
Staff
PA Department of Education certified and experienced in working with students who have a variety of academic, emotional, and/or behavioral needs through:
- Individualized classroom instruction
- Special education support and services
- Individualized counseling
- Behavior management support
Schedule
- The summer semester is divided into three (3) sessions
- Flexible scheduling is available to allow for employment, vacations, and early completion
- The school day begins at 8:25 am and ends at 12:00 pm
Transportation
- Transportation to and from school may be provided
- Students may drive to school according to Lakeside School’s guidelines
