Lakeside has been a vital resource in trauma-informed care for schools and organizations throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Without a state mandate, we have already provided trauma training for schools and social service organizations in 41 counties within Pennsylvania.
We have recognized first-hand and can speak to the value of trauma-informed care in school classrooms, counseling offices, court rooms and other places where trauma-impacted individuals are involved.
This article below, just released by WHYY, features a proposal by two Pennsylvania state senators. Senators Browne and Hughes are attempting to create a “trauma-informed system of education.”
Obviously, this is formative in development, but it is part of the pulse of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to expand trauma-informed care to all of our systems.

At Lakeside, we are genuinely excited to be a part of this impactful movement to our education system in Pennsylvania.
This will be a huge encouragement to our teachers, administrators, students, and parents in our state. We appreciate the work of Senators Browne and Hughes. We look forward to assisting in this new wave of care for students and teachers throughout Pennsylvania.
