This week, September 26th and 27th Lakeside is providing the training for a trauma summit in beautiful Lancaster County. This is a county that has led the way in creating a coalition for trauma-informed care within their community. We are excited to join hundreds of professionals at the Lancaster Country Club for this inspirational event.

We have found that many of our counties have responded positively and enthusiastically to these trauma summits. So many professionals have been a part of these summits and have been informed, inspired and encouraged to become more trauma-informed and trauma responsive to those within their sphere of influence. We deeply appreciate the funding provided by the 2017 PA Hurricane Supplemental Emergency Response Grant (SERG) . We also appreciate the collaboration with the PA Attorney General’s Office in our trauma summits.
Some of the workshops that will be offered include:
Trauma 102: Basic Skills of Trauma
Trauma 103: Recognizing Secondary and Vicarious Trauma
Trauma 107: Trauma-informed Cultural Sensitivity
Simulation Exercise and Discussion: Various
Wellness Training for law enforcement
The PRESENCE Model for Organizational Trauma Certification
Trauma-Informed Organizational Assessment
This is an exciting opportunity for professionals in Lancaster to receive multi-level training both personally and organizationally for trauma-informed care and responsiveness. We appreciate the opportunity to be involved with so many great people who are doing work on the front lines with individuals who are trauma-impacted.
