I have written significantly about our trauma training at Lakeside Global Institute. We have gradually been providing training to professionals across the state of Pennsylvania. It has been a process of slowly growing our reputation and impact over years of dedication from our training staff and administrators. While providing our training we have been researching, publishing, and delivering expanded training in topics that are related to trauma.
One of our visions is to provide our extensive training to entire systems of care. We are extremely pleased that we have an active contract to provide training to the entire child welfare systems in Pennsylvania. We believe that systems professionals who have shared knowledge, skill, and language around the issue of trauma will be far more effective as they work with so many children and families in need. The following announcement was just published and we are actively scheduling these trainings for the next year!
The Offices of Children, Youth and Families and Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services have partnered with PA Care Partnership to provide any child welfare professionals in Pennsylvania FREE Trauma Training. These trainings will be facilitated by Lakeside Global Institute and are available until September 30, 2023 or while funding is available. Available trainings will be offered in-person or live via web-based platform.

There are multiple cohorts for courses and workshops that have been scheduled on specific dates and times available. Trainings available include the following:

There are also Trauma 101-109 workshops available for Pennsylvania organizations that provide services to children, youth and families.
This is exciting for Lakeside and for all the child welfare workers in Pennsylvania who can participate in free trauma training that is extensive and able to be processed. We believe this will lead to a more trauma-informed system that will be attuned to the needs of children and families state-wide who have been impacted by trauma.
I want to affirm the administrative staff and trainers of Lakeside Global Institute who have given so much of their time and professional commitment to helping our professional community become trauma informed. We anticipate significant results this coming year and feel very privileged to have this opportunity to serve our professionals, our children and our families across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
