I am pleased to announce that this week our second on-demand course will be released by Lakeside Global Institute.
Enhancing Trauma Awareness (or ETA as we call it) is our first course in a 3-part series. Our next two courses are in process. Plus, I have been writing about our Neurologic for Schools course that has already been available on-demand, online.
ETA is our foundational course for professionals to become trauma-informed.
Enhancing Trauma Awareness is a 15-hour course divided into modules, followed by a review process that makes sure that the information becomes transferred.
Each module builds on the previous module.
Anyone who participates in this on-demand course will gain heightened awareness and respect with regard to trauma behaviors, the impact of trauma that can extend into the emotions and their relationships, and the family systems of trauma-impacted individuals.
The modules cover a number of topics including:
- Personal safety plans
- Trauma continuums
- Understanding the role of essential brain parts
- Adverse Childhood Experiences
- Neurobiology of toxic stress
- Grief and trauma
- Memory and trauma triggers
- Different kinds of trauma
- Vicarious trauma
We even have a very short module on Safety Plans that you can explore at no cost to get a feel for our training style. There you will meet Diane Wagenhals, who is the primary researcher and author of our trauma curriculum, along with me, as we give a brief summary of how a safety plan can help someone who has a trauma history. Perhaps you could find that useful in your own life and experience.
I hope you will consider taking our on-demand ETA course.
You will find our trainers both engaging and knowledgeable. It is exciting for us to have this valuable information available to those individuals who are dealing with trauma-impacted children and adults. It will help them become more sensitive and skilled at dealing with the complex challenges of trauma.
We are pleased to introduce this first step to all those who wish to be trauma-informed. You will find information about ETA on our website at www.lakesidelink.com.
