After years of research, training, testing, and filming, Lakeside’s Neurologic on-demand live trauma training is now available. We have been so encouraged to see the regional, national and international impact this training has had on the schools and school systems we have had the privilege to train.
For years, Lakeside has been a leader in the field of alternative education. We have worked with students who have not been able to be successful in a normal school setting.
Our students have had a variety of issues as obstacles to their success in school and sometimes in life. For a variety of reasons our students have struggled with their learning capacity, behavioral impulse control, and academic progress. Many have experienced different trauma and have struggled to regulate their brains so they could function in a school setting.
We have found building trusting relationships with students has really changed the way they think about teachers and school.
Additionally, current neuroscience has allowed us to explore innovative and effective ways to manage our students’ dysregulation, help them be able to think clearly and cognitively, relate well to others, and take responsibility for their own brain regulation and behavior. Eventually the result is success in the classroom.
It is so exciting to watch the changes in the students’ lives and see their confidence grow as they learn how to navigate situations because of the support they receive from our staff combined with their new self-awareness.
We have also had the privilege of teaching numerous other schools throughout our region, our nation, and even as far as Norway, in order to help teachers, schools and school systems manage their classrooms in a brain-based and trauma-informed way.
Lakeside’s brain-based and trauma-informed approach has revolutionized many schools and empowered students to achieve success for the first time in their lives.
We have been training school staff members in groups, but we recognize that we are not able to provide this training to some teachers and schools for logistical reasons.
For this reason we have released an online, on-demand version of our Neurologic training.
There is a 4-hour intensive session that can be taken individually or in groups.
We also offer online coaching sessions where we apply our principles in practical ways. Teachers can continue their understanding of brain-based techniques and practices to help them manage their classrooms more effectively.
We also offer opportunities for online live training and coaching for those who wish to ask questions or dialogue with our expert staff.
We are extremely pleased to announce the release of our Neurologic training which will help teachers and students become trained and skilled at providing a trauma-informed classroom.
We anticipate a positive response as teachers experience the new tools offered in this training which they can now take in the comfort of their own homes.
