A few days ago, I was heading to early morning meetings. It was still dark, and as I entered a convenience store to get some coffee, I noticed people from almost every walk of life getting ready for their day. Not being a morning person, I asked myself, “What are all these people doing this early in the morning?” In other words, “ what is wrong with this picture? It is way too early!”
Are you grateful for the meaningfulness and purpose in your life?
I then took a step back and put on another lens.
I realized the energy that hummed around me. There was life, productivity, work, relationships, achievement right in front of my eyes. I then realized how privileged I am to be doing what I do each day. I have a vibrant purpose, meaningful relationships, and huge opportunities to provide hope and healing to people…and so much more.
What is your lens?
It is my hope that the lens of gratefulness, appreciation, and hope can be yours as you spend time reflecting on all the Thanksgiving blessings that have been given to you.
Many of you will spend quality time with family, and some of you may simply have moments of reflection. In all that you are experiencing, I encourage you look at the world around you with a view towards the many great things that are a part of your life in relationships and purpose.
I also hope that you can find some regulating and valuable rest apart from all the chaos of life.
In whatever you do, I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving Holiday filled with the gratitude for family and life.
Thanks again for reading Lakeside Connect. I value each of you, and thank you for joining our journey of providing help and hope to so many.
Happy Thanksgiving.
