As we enter the Holiday Season, we recognize that this is a significant time of reflection.
Our country has gone through one of the most difficult years in our history. I think we have discussed all that has happened with COVID-19 and other issues to a point of depressing exhaustion. However, as we enter this time of faith, family and hopefully some fun it is my hope that the message of Christmas will be prominent in our hearts.
We seem to have collectively become possessed by many negative stressors and emotions this year. Yet we know that the messages of Christmas give us the opportunity for hopeful perspectives. We hear the resounding words of “Do not fear,” and realize that faith transcends fear. We recognize the power of this gift of love in a world filled with discord and high threat. We think about the “good news of great joy to all people” in a world full of anxiety and depression. We experience the sense of being victim to a pandemic when salvation is promised to all mankind. We have experienced so much isolation and separation and the promise of God is that He has come to us and is with us in any life circumstances.
Truly Christmas is a Season of hopeful messages that we can reflect on as we move through this sacred season of joy, spiritual depth and so much meaning. It is my hope that you will enjoy this holiday season, spend time with your family, be safe and reflect on all that we now possess as we experience the true perspective, life and love of Christmas!
Merry Christmas and a most Happy New Year to you all!
