I am sure that you and your family are entering the holidays with great anticipation! I love the holiday season with the gatherings, the gift-giving, the food, the decorations and so much more!
I do hope in whatever celebrations you are participating in that it will be a good time of quality family and friend connections. As a country we have had a year of so much divisiveness. I think as we become mindful of our faith, our values and our varied means of celebrations we have the opportunity to renew our sense of commitment to attributes and relational characteristics of love, joy, hope and genuine care for those we encounter in life.
There are many wonderful stories of how so many individuals and organizations are giving to the less fortunate children and adults who have had a very difficult year. It is so encouraging to witness all the great things that many are doing to give back to our fellow man and meet the needs around us. It is so much in our character as Americans to be gracious to our neighbors and communities.
For all of you who have read Lakeside Connect faithfully and sent so many wonderful comments to us, I thank you! We have enjoyed hearing from you and receiving valuable feedback relating to the varied topics in our many posts.
