Sometimes the holidays sneak up on us. Some of us have a hard time getting into the spirit of the season. Some of us are so busy that we don’t have time to enjoy the holiday. Some struggle with depression or anxiety over the holidays. Others are just bored with the same old traditions and need something fresh to think about and participate in.
There are a lot of activities that we can do to help ourselves or our families get ready for Christmas. Maybe we can even find some different or new traditions yet to be discovered in our families. There is nothing wrong with family traditions. They have a certain sense of familiarity and safety for us. However enriching activities can be enjoyable, regulating and even meaningful.

Have you ever thought of creating your own family Christmas bucket list? It may be a fun experiment to talk to your family and ask everyone if they would have interest in participating in something like that over the holiday season. You may discover some interesting thoughts and ideas that you could explore together. We certainly need our families to spend more time together and find ways to create more relationship and seasonal joy together.
I am enclosing this link that may be helpful in thinking about some possible activities.
We tend to experience so much stress in a season that should be one of peace, joy, love and faith. Maybe changing the focus and opening up new ideas and traditions may help us enjoy the season and each other with our families.
Think about it, be creative and ask your family to join you in some holiday fun!
Happy Holidays!
